On June 22, the Market Management Department of Ho Chi Minh City said that in the first six months of 2023, anti-counterfeiting and contraband… achieved positive results.
Accordingly, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Information Management inspected 1,805 cases, an increase of more than 86% compared to the same period last year, detected 1,637 violations of counterfeit goods, smuggled goods, unknown origin… Total fines paid budget over 37 billion dong, up more than 150% over the same period last year.
The Ho Chi Minh City Information Administration has destroyed counterfeit goods, banned goods, and goods that are not eligible for circulation worth more than VND 30 billion, up 93% over the same period last year. The value of confiscated goods awaiting sale is about VND 102 billion.

In the first six months of 2023, QLTT also inspected, detected and sanctioned a series of products of unknown origin, origin, and counterfeit goods at many commercial centers, routes and prominent locations. The total amount of fines is up to tens of billions of VND.

In which, four cases of counterfeit goods, three cases of contraband and one case of prohibited goods. In the eight cases above, the estimated value of infringing goods is about 5.2 billion VND.
