Currently, the commune authorities are distributing notices to find relatives for the baby.

According to Mr. Dieu, earlier at about 4:45 am on June 23, people in Lien Tan village (Thuong Loc commune) heard the cries of children coming from the gate of Vinh pagoda nearby, so they came to check.
Here, people discovered a newborn baby boy was placed in a plastic basket, inside there was a piece of paper left by the mother with the content: “The baby boy is 15 days old. Because I can’t afford it. taking care should ask the temple to raise and take care of the children”.
Immediately after receiving the news from the people, the Thuong Loc commune government sent staff from the commune health station to check the baby’s health. Through examination, the boy is in stable health and has no abnormalities.
Chairman of Thuong Loc Commune People’s Committee said that the commune authorities had temporarily assigned him to the temple to take care of him. The police force also spread information widely on the media to find relatives for the baby. After the specified time, if the relatives of the abandoned boy do not come to receive the child, the local authorities will carry out procedures for others to adopt.
