Accordingly, the Deputy Prime Minister asked the People’s Committees of An Giang, Dong Thap and Vinh Long provinces to prioritize immediately arranging sand sources for the Can Tho – Hau Giang and Hau Giang – Ca Mau expressway projects (belonging to the expressway project). The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment also said that the ministry is developing a project “Assessment of mineral resources, serving the exploitation of sea sand, meeting the demand for leveling and leveling projects of highways and transport infrastructure and urban areas in the Mekong Delta”. The People’s Committees of provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta have granted 60 licenses to exploit sand for leveling, with a total reserve of 63 million m3total capacity about 14 million m3/year. Currently, the remaining reserve is about 37 million m3.
