Lieutenant Colonel Le Manh Ha said that there are cases stemming from conflicts and challenges on social networks, dating to resolve conflicts leading to acts of murder, intentional injury, and public disorder.
The Board of Directors of the Ho Chi Minh City Public Security has advised the Ministry of Public Security to propose the establishment of a Cybersecurity and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department by 2021. At the same time, directing professional departments and local police to do a good job of understanding the situation in cyberspace.
Along with that, pay attention to using social networks in law propaganda, administrative reform and building a movement of the whole people to protect national security.
“The police also cooperated with the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City to verify and strictly handle violations such as spreading fake news, sharing false information…” – Mr. Ha said.
The Ho Chi Minh City Police also directs professional units to make, fight and strictly handle complicated cases.
