Local legal education activities – Dissemination of legal education

On May 23, 2023, the People’s Committee of Dak Lak province promulgated Plan No. 84/KH-UBND on the organization of the contest “The best mediator in Dak Lak province” in 2023. The contest was organized with the aim of raising the awareness of the whole society about the position, role and meaning of mediation at the grassroots level; communicating and disseminating to a large number of officials and people the provisions of the law directly related to the rights and obligations and daily life of the people; promote the synergy of the whole political system, raise the responsibilities of the Party committees, authorities, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations at all levels in the reconciliation work at the grassroots level. At the same time, create a forum for exchange, exchange of experiences, improve legal knowledge and mediation skills for mediators; praising and honoring outstanding examples in grassroots mediation in the province, contributing to improving the quality and efficiency of this work. This is also a practical activity in response to the “Law Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam” on November 9, 2023 and summarizing 10 years of implementation of the Law on Conciliation at grassroots level.

Implementing the Plan No. 236/KH -UBND dated January 31, 2023 of the provincial People’s Committee to implement the work of law dissemination and education (PBGDPL), on July 21, 2023, Binh Thuan Department of Justice – Standing Agency of the Provincial Council for Coordination and Labor, the Provincial Laboratory to organize training conferences to improve capacity, foster skills, and legal knowledge for the implementation of the law of law, the law of the law, the law of the law of the law of the law, the law of law level in the province. The conference focused on disseminating the Government’s Decree No. 29/2023/ND-CP dated June 3, 2023 on downsizing the payroll and the Government’s Decree No. 31/2023/ND-CP dated June 9, 2023 on penalties for administrative violations related to crop production. Attending the Conference were over 150 delegates representing leaders of provincial departments, agencies, sectors and mass organizations; provincial legal rapporteurs; legal officials of departments and branches; leading representatives of the People’s Committees of districts, towns and cities and district-level law rapporteurs.

On the afternoon of July 21, the Department of Justice of Bac Lieu province held an online conference to disseminate new laws passed by the 15th National Assembly at the 4th session, the 2nd Extraordinary Session and new legal documents (2nd phase). In addition to the main bridge, the conference also connects online to 7 district-level bridges and 64 commune-level bridges.

On July 13, 2023, the People’s Committee of Yen Son district in collaboration with the District Committee for Mass Mobilization and the District Fatherland Front Committee organized the “Good mediator” contest in Yen Son district in 2023. The contest was attended by leaders of the Department of Justice; representatives of the Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial Committee for Mass Mobilization; Leaders of People’s Committee, Fatherland Front Committee, District Committee for Mass Mobilization; members of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee; leaders of district departments, divisions and units; representatives of the People’s Committees of communes/towns in the district.

Implement Plan No. 41/KH-STP dated May 15, 2023 of the Director of the Department of Justice to inspect the work of law dissemination and education (PBGDPL); grassroots mediation; commune level meets the legal access standards in the province by 2023; Decision No. 103/QD-STP dated 12/6/2023 of the Director of the Department of Justice on the establishment of the inspection team for legal regulation; grassroots mediation; commune level meets the legal access standards in the province in 2023. From June 20, 2023 to July 12, 2023, the inspection team inspected the work of legal protection; grassroots mediation; at the commune level, meeting the standards of legal access at 10 Law Enforcement Coordinating Councils of districts, towns and 30 communes, wards and townships in the province.

Implement Plan No. 1896/KH-UBND dated June 30, 2022 of Hai Duong Provincial People’s Committee on implementation of Decision No. 407/QD-TTg dated March 20, 2023 of the Prime Minister approving the Project “Organizing policy communication with great impact on society in the process of developing legal documents for the period of 2022 – 2027” in the province, on July 19, 2023, organizing a large-scale communication training session, organizing a large-scale social policy conference to organize Hai Duong Provincial Department of Justice’s Conference in the process of developing legal documents in 2023. Attending the Conference were representatives of leaders of provincial departments, agencies and branches; provincial legal rapporteurs; civil servants doing legal work; civil servants in charge of policy communication of provincial departments, agencies and branches and representatives of leaders of the Justice Department; Legal rapporteurs of 12 districts, towns and cities.
