On the afternoon of July 19, the forest ranger of Thanh Phu district (Ben Tre) coordinated with the Co Chien Border Guard Station to release a snail weighing about 30 kg to the natural environment at the mouth of the Co Chien River.

According to information from the Thanh Phu District Forest Protection Department, around 6 am on July 19, Mr. Huynh Van Diep, 43 years old, worked as a catfish fisherman while visiting Vam Khau Bang area (Thanh Phong commune, Thanh Phu district). Then discovered an individual that was hooked, so he brought it on a boat and brought it back to the wharf in Giao Thanh commune.
Through grasping information, Thanh Phu District Forest Protection Department, Co Chien Border Guard Station coordinated with functional agencies to mobilize and Mr. Diep agreed to hand over the snail to release into the wild.
