Tung has images, words, and statements in some videos and clips distributed on Facebook and Youtube with propaganda content, slandering, defaming the regime, misrepresenting the political and economic situation, Vietnamese society, attacking the leaders of the Party and State. In which, 11 videos are distributed on Youtube channel “Phan Son Tung”, 1 video is distributed on Facebook “For Vietnam’s prosperity”.
In addition, from August 5 to 31, 2022, Tung posted many videos and clips with the content calling for the establishment of an illegal organization called “Prosperous Vietnamese Party”…
The above videos and clips were collected by the Department of Cybersecurity and Crime Prevention using high technology. Tung himself also confirmed that he had accessed his Youtube channel and downloaded the 22 videos mentioned above.
The investigation process determined that out of a total of 22 videos Tung made and distributed online, there were 16 videos with assessment results that were illegal content. Specifically, 26 contents of propaganda, fabricated and confused information among the people, 6 contents of propaganda causing psychological war, 17 contents of distorting, slandering, insulting the organization’s reputation, honor and personal dignity…
Tung said that from 2021, Tung created and managed three Youtube channels and a Facebook page. These online channels attract more than 148 million views and over 530,000 followers…
In the process of managing these accounts, Tung made and distributed videos and clips with illegal content on the Internet. The defendant admitted that these videos were mainly for propaganda purposes against the State, the Party, and the government.
The work Tung does and posts video clips on Youtube channel has the monetization function enabled and Tung has received nearly 80,000 USD from Youtube.
The defendant also ordered hats with the words “For Vietnam Prosperity” for 65,000 VND, and then sold them on his online channels for 150,000 VND. The Criminal Investigation Department determined that the defendant benefited from the sale of hats was more than 22 million dong.
There were 154 people ordered Tung’s hat. Most of them buy hats to use, no other purpose. After working with the CCP, these individuals handed over the hats. The Police Department considers that there are no grounds to determine that these people are related to Tung’s behavior.
