On the morning of October 3, people went to exercise and discovered a woman lying on the side of National Highway 24B in Son Thanh commune, Son Ha district, Quang Ngai province in a dying state.
People took the victim to the emergency room, but then the woman died.
Through verification, the woman was identified as Mrs. Dinh Thi Sai (59 years old, residing in Son Thanh commune, Son Ha district). Ms. Sai was an alcoholic, so her family thought she was drunk and killed herself, so she prepared for burial.
Realizing that the incident showed unusual signs, the Son Ha District Police informed the Criminal Police Department of the Provincial Police to conduct an investigation.
After that, the Criminal Police Department of the Provincial Public Security coordinated with the Criminal Technical Division, the Procuracy, the Police of Son Ha District and the local authorities to examine the scene and conduct an autopsy.
Given that Ms. Sai’s self-death led to her death, her family prevented her and did not agree to the autopsy team to clarify the cause of her death.
After convincing and explaining, the family agreed to conduct an autopsy. Thereby, the authorities discovered that Ms. Sai’s head had a sharp and neat wound. According to the mechanism of wound formation, the police determined that she was attacked by others, not herself.
Continuing to verify, the police determined that Dinh Van Dich (30 years old, Ms. Sai’s son) had unusual symptoms, so the police focused on exploiting.
At first, Danh denied, claiming that he did not know the cause of his mother’s death. However, after that, the police focused on fighting with other evidence, and Dich confessed to killing his mother.
Specifically, on the afternoon of October 2, after working as a housekeeper, he drank wine with his co-workers, and returned home at 9:30 pm on the same day.
At this time, seeing that his mother was drunk, cursing and demanding to be kicked out of the house, he got angry and slashed his head with a knife. The mother, after being slashed, ran away from home and died.
The police are continuing to consolidate the file to handle the case according to regulations.
