Solving the waste problem at Sa Huynh fishing port

Posted on July 25, 2023

In order to reduce the amount of waste, people have used the burning method, but it pollutes the environment even more because of the toxic smoke. “Whenever the water is big, the garbage will lie on the Thanh Duc bridge, and the water will be dragged into the sea. Everyone here is frustrated with this situation. We hope the government will soon handle it and return the clean environment,” said a resident of Pho Thanh Ward.

Before the pollution situation in the locality, Mr. Nguyen Van Luong, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Pho Thanh Ward, said that the People’s Committee of the ward has repeatedly proposed to the People’s Committee of Duc Pho Town but has not been completely resolved. “There are many reasons why the pollution in the fishing port area is getting worse, including the shutdown of the waste treatment plant,” Luong said.

According to Mr. Luong, the above situation is caused by some households littering indiscriminately. Although the functional departments regularly organize the cleanup, it is still impossible because the amount of waste is too large.

We hope that the authorities in Duc Pho town will soon take action and return the fresh environment to the beautiful sea of Sa Huynh.
