Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Pham Minh Tuan presents gifts to disadvantaged workers whose jobs are affected
Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Ho Chi Minh City Pham Minh Tuan said that due to the impact of the epidemic and the global economy, in Vietnam, many businesses, especially the textile, footwear, wood, and electronic industries, have faced difficulties because of reduced orders. This leads to hundreds of thousands of workers having their working hours reduced, their jobs lost, their incomes affected, and their family life difficult.
From the support of the family of Mr. Johnathan Hanh Nguyen, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Ho Chi Minh City gave gifts to 100 workers whose working hours were reduced (1 million VND/gift). The remaining amount will be coordinated by relevant units to support 1,100 workers whose working hours have been reduced, their labor contracts suspended, their jobs lost, and 300 disadvantaged families and pensioners in localities such as Binh Chanh, Hoc Mon, etc.
