Exactly 11 years ago, when I wrote about Dung Quat Refinery and Petrochemical Plant, I said very clearly about this “precious asset”:

But this is the first oil refinery. Of course, up to now, the company has processed more than ninety four million tons of crude oil, produced and sold to the market more than eighty six million tons of products, revenue reached nearly 1.7 million billion dong, more profit after tax 44 trillion dong and paid more to the State budget 207 trillion.
Those are the numbers that speak, it speaks not only of the achievements of Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Company, but also saying something deeper: the people working at this company have not betrayed their trust. of the people, the Party and the Government, have worked hard for the life and development of the Company which they have considered as their common home. If the petrochemical refinery and Binh Son Company operate 24/24 hours a day, the hearts of thousands of workers here also work 24/24 hours for the life and vitality of the “Common House”. that.
15 years, a time that is not short but not too long, there were times when Dung Quat Oil Refinery had to operate at 105% and then 112% of capacity, but the safety was still guaranteed, the heart of the factory was still beating. rhythm, and the happiness of employees at Binh Son Company is from the safety of Dung Quat Oil Refinery.
The current world has too many fluctuations, oil prices go up and down, but the country’s energy security through petroleum is still guaranteed, and Binh Son Refinery and Petrochemical Company is still doing well, the amount paid The annual budget is still increasing, Quang Ngai province is still in the top 10 provinces that pay the most budget in the country. And schools, libraries, and kindergartens in Quang Ngai province sponsored by Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Company are still growing and operating with the joy of the people of Quang Ngai’s children. “Petroleum is not just gasoline”, because from then on, we also see the presence of kind hearts, noble gestures, actions for the benefit of the community of Binh Son Refinery and Petrochemical Company. throughout this heroic and developing land of Quang Ngai.
I am fortunate to have a predestined relationship (though no debt) with Dung Quat Refinery and Petrochemicals, and then with Binh Son Refinery and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company from the early days of building this largest and most modern plant in Vietnam. Right from the beginning of the factory’s operation, musician Nguyen Thuy Kha and I went to the factory and composed the chorus “Heart of Dung Quat” (music: Nguyen Thuy Kha, lyrics: Thanh Thao). It is the work that has received the A prize in music awarded by PetroViet Nam, and has become a regular work in Dung Quat Oil Refinery. For us creators, it’s happiness.
