The final score of the match could have been different had defender Nguyen Thi Thuy Nhi (8) not missed the penalty that the U.19 Vietnamese women’s team enjoyed in the 90th minute. With the victory over Singapore, the team coach Akira Ijiri had the first 3 points at the 2023 AFF Women’s U.19 Championship.
On July 10, the U.19 Vietnamese women’s team will enter the final match in the group stage, against the Malaysian U.19 women’s team. The match takes place at 15:30 in City Palembang, Indonesia.
