According to Mr. Duc, on May 23, some people discovered that in a 5-hectare field area about to be planted by people for summer-autumn crops, the excavator of An Binh Co., Ltd. came to dig and scoop up water in the field. spilled out, the land plowed by farmers to sow new crops was also plowed. “We planned to sow the summer-autumn rice crop on May 25, but on May 23, we suddenly discovered that a forklift truck came to dig, changing the status of the fields. I don’t understand why the company acted like this. Therefore, we have now reported it to the local authorities for handling,” Mr. Duc said.

Farmers point to places on the dike dug by An Binh Co., Ltd
According to Mr. Duc, after reporting to the local government, An Ninh Commune People’s Committee sent someone to stop the actions of An Binh Co., Ltd. The fact that the sown land is plowed, water overflowing from the field will severely affect the yield as well as the time of planting and harvesting later.
Hoanh Vinh cooperative currently has 375 hectares of newly harvested winter-spring rice, an area of 5 hectares that An Binh Co., Ltd dug up, has been assigned by the cooperative to 12 households to plant a new rice crop.
Will clarify the case
It is known that the farmland that Hoanh Vinh Cooperative is using is under the management of the Commune People’s Committee and has been assigned to Hoanh Vinh Cooperative to manage and use for agricultural production for many years.
Present at the scene, PV Youth recorded that in the fields of 5 hectares excavated, the water was dry, the company dug 16 places on the dyke area causing water to overflow, another field was also dug a ditch nearly 100 m long. . Mr. Truong Van Long, Chairman of An Ninh Commune People’s Committee, said that after receiving the news, the commune sent a delegation to inspect and assess the extent of the damage, and at the same time worked with the company to clarify. “The representative of An Binh Company has admitted that the company’s behavior is wrong, but has not clearly and specifically stated the reason why the company has acted like that. The case is being investigated by the police force. clarify, if there is any violation, it will be dealt with strictly,” Mr. Long said.
According to Mr. Long, after grasping the incident, the local government asked An Binh Co., Ltd. to stop all digging activities and return the ground to its original state. The company has filled back nearly 100 m of ditches in the morning of May 25, but 16 places on the dike area were dug, causing the water to drain out until June 13, still not being treated.
