Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Truong Giang, Deputy Director of the Academy of Journalism and Communication, said that over the past time, the situation of network safety and security continues to be complicated and unpredictable.
In 2022, the Ministry of Public Security recorded and analyzed nearly 8 million warnings and signs of cyberattack activities. Cyber espionage and sabotage activities by hostile forces are increasingly complicated, causing serious consequences on sovereignty, security, politics, foreign affairs, economy and society.
Cyberattacks on critical information systems of national security in order to destroy databases, cause disruption or hijack are more frequent.
Cybersecurity issues are demanding to continue to be identified, explained, analyzed new points in terms of theory and practice, looking for mottos and solutions from a cryptographic perspective, an administrative perspective to solve the problem. effectively prevent, respond to and deal with non-traditional security threats, focusing on cyber security in the national security.

“We all know, investment in safety and network security is quite low right now. In the National Cybersecurity Strategy, the Government had to propose a minimum of 10% of the funding for science and technology, digital transformation and information technology application; this must be analyzed and planned more clearly, because too low a norm will affect the goal of building safety and network security” – Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Truong Giang proposed.
